This week (w/c13^th Oct 08) sees the start of the Asbestos campaign by HSE.

 

 

There is even worse news; as asbestosis (mesothelioma) takes so long to develop, the number of deaths are projected to continue to increase over the next ten years.

There is a responsibility to take reasonable steps to find out if there are materials containing asbestos in non-domestic premises, and if so, its amount, where it is and what condition it is in.

The advice is to get premises surveyed by a licensed specialist company and act on their recommendations.
