Gas Cylinders
Many sites have been using propane fuelled heaters in the workshop during the long period of cold weather. Hopefully, we are at the end of the worst of the cold weather and the heaters will not be needed for a while.
Ensure that gas cylinders are turned off and stored in a well ventilated place where they are secured so they cannot fall over.
Ideally, this should be outside the main premises, to ensure any possible leakage does not form an explosive atmosphere.
Best of all, if they are not going to be used again, get them collected and removed from site.
Inspect any heating appliance they may have been used with, in particular hoses and fittings.
Only put the appliance in storage when it is in a safe condition to use again.
